"Jerry W. Brasseale"

Pleasant Grove Mayor Jerry W. Brasseale
"A Diamond in the Rough"

Pleasant Grove, noted as the "hidden jewel" of western Jefferson County,  provides churches of major denominations, as well as excellent schools that excel in academics and athletics.  Pleasant Grove High School recently received recognition for having the highest graduation rate in the county (96%).  This marks the 4th straight year we have done such.  There are only two other 5A schools in the entire state that had a higher score (one had 97% and the other had 99% and it is a magnet school) and only two 6A schools (Mt. Brook and Vestavia) in Metro area.  Also known as, "The Grove", our city has been blessed with excellent recreational facilities, state of the art athletic complex, police and fire protection, with a 2 1/2 to 3-minutue emergency medical respone time.

We hope you will find information you need.  Our city's motto is:  The Good Neighbor City' and we take pride in living up to our motto.......  A community rich with uniqueness for tradition and family values.

Sincerely, Jerry W. Brasseale, Mayor
