Operations of the City Clerk’s Office


The City Clerk’s Office serves as the technical administrative liaison for all official actions between the City Council and Mayor, as provided by State law and City code.

 

  • Acts as Treasurer through the planning, organizing, and directing of the financial activities and programs, including accounting, budget administration, revenue administration, risk management, and auditing.

  • Attends all City Council meetings

  • Prepares the bi-weekly Council agenda

  • Maintains the official City Council meeting minutes

  • Prepares and publishes all required legal advertisements and public notices of City business.

  • Records all resolutions, ordinances, and other official actions by the Mayor and Council

  • Maintains all City contracts, agreements, deeds, titles, and insurance policies

  • Attests to the correctness of documents executed by the Mayor and Council

  • Conducts Municipal elections as the Elections Manager

  • Provides the general public and public agencies with access to official records originating from City Council meetings.

  • Process requests for Public Records
